Wreaths Across America 2015!

Attention Load One Drivers and families: This year as part of our support for Wreaths Across America we will be delivering wreaths to Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Mi on Dec 12th. We will leave the terminal in Taylor that morning and convoy up to the cemetery with one or our Patriot Trailers. We are still working out the final times and logistics but tentatively it will be an 8am departure from Taylor.

As well we will have 3 charter busses for employees, drivers and their families to take up and back. We would love for as many as possible to participate, place wreaths and see what a great charity this is! More details to come!

We will also be delivering to Mississippi, Alabama, Washington DC and again this year we are honored to once again be delivering to Arlington National Cemetery.

We are pleased this year to be delivering the wreaths to the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Michigan for the wreath placement on Dec 12th. We do this as part of our participation in Wreaths Across America a great charity that places wreaths on fallen soldiers graves from Arlington to Alaska. This year is the first time we have had a Michigan cemetery as one of our routes! We want to get more people involved and see what is involved. We are chartering some buses to take employes, drivers, and families from the terminal to the cemetery in Holly and back on the 12th. If you would like to participate be at the terminal at 8am. We have 3 buses so it will be first come first serve and hopefully we can fit everyone. We will then convoy with one of the Patriot Trailers from the terminal up to the cemetery.

Another great way to help is by purchasing a wreath for the front of your truck. For $30 you get one for your truck, it pays for one to be placed at Arlington and $5 goes to support the charity. We have them here at the office, just see admin to get one.

Also the toy collection boxes are out as part of our annual support of Toys for Tots!

Anxiously waiting for a date for pick up of the Toys For Tots boxes in the Taylor area. We have been wanting to be apart of this for along time and this year we are doing it, come on lets set a record toy donation, the kids deserve it !!!!!!!

On their website, there is also an option to buy a 'Patriot Pair' of wreaths, with one being placed on a veteran's headstone, the other delivered to an address of your choice.
Last year, I sent one to my daughter in Florida, and she was in tears over the glorious smell of the wreath [and the honor to a vet]. This year, I ordered a couple - it's a great way to make people aware of the project, and a lovely tradition to begin.
