I know for a fact there are 2 major players in the expediting business are doing price shopping with their drivers, I know for a fact for recieved phone calls and their other driver was sitting next to me, one call me and confirm what I would do it for, then called me right back , called me anther name , I siad yes, they then offer me the same load I accepted but a nickle cheaper thinking I was someone else. Well Now I haven't driven for them since Dec, but still on their rolls

Panther occasionally sends out reduced rate loads to see if there is any takers. If not then they pay the rate or dump it on their broker board. The Fed sends every load out and awards it to the cheapest taker if other criteria for the load are equal.
Not sure what they do on vans since they are on a flat rate?

Dave, about the FED,that's not exactly right, but close. It seems to happen now and then. They try to keep the pay as close to the original offer as possible. There is always someone that just likes to roll,no matter what the pay

I was basing that on just what was posted here what other Fed drivers say and how it worked. No first hand experience using it but I see why they do it.
