I found this while looking thru the drivers page in discounts area..thought it might help some of those that dont have internet in the truck. It says for Panther drivers but I dont see why anyone could not use it....give it a try, never hurts to try and save a little money.

WIFI - Panther Drivers will receive a discounted monthly rate for the Flying J WIFI service Regular Price = $24.95 per month Panther Discounted Price = $16.50 per month To receive this discounted price they must enter the following Promo Code
at the time of purchase Promo Code = 12222
WIFI Customer Service # 800-870-9068

I know it should have been put in the panther page but everyone can see the infor there too, so might as well save them the extra keystrokes, but if need be moved feel free..thankx mods for the work you do.

If you pay annually it's $149.50 which is $12.50 a month .
true but then you are locked to sticking with them for a year, prolly will be able to get out of year contract and moght be able to get money back but with month to month, its simple to get out of. It something else to think about if stuck at one for the weekend and in-truck wifi is not avail.....

Yeah , it's not for everybody but at that price even if you use it once a week it's a deal . I often use it 2 or 3 times a week .

On the annual plan, if you decide to end it, to get out of it, any unused months are given back to you. It's not like a cell phone contract. It's easy to get out of. But like Crazy said, even if you use it 3 or 4 times a month it's a good deal.

The last 4-5 J's the reception had been terrible....You don't think them featuring a WiFi amplifier signal booster for 89.95 would have anything to do with that do you????

Yeah, too funny. Rather than upgrade antiquated, first-generation WiFi equipment, they want to sell you a booster. The antennas are located to provide service for big trucks, so the car/rv lots are usually the weakest spot. So, where I park the signal is usually marginal, and as soon as I button up with the silver reflective thingies on the windows, poof there goes what's left of the signal. I can put up the black curtains instead, but that doesn't work real well in really cold weather (the silver thingies are a thermal block) or in hot weather, especially in the sun, as the black curtains are a heat magnet. Lots of places I can get at least a usable signal, but when I can't there's always the Aircard.

I most often stay at Flying J's in London, ON , Perrysburg ,Oh , Beaverdam , OH , and Walton , KY . I have never had a problem with a signal at any of them .
I had tried T/A's a few times and had real problems there .

I used to use the "j" to get on line. I think it was buy two months get one free. It was usefull if a "j" was near. When one wasnt i found myself bying hours at whatever location i was at. no matter what i did i was always deadheading to a location to use their wifi.
i now use a verizon wireless. it is a lot more at 50/m, but now i can park in the customers lot, a nearby walmart or rest spot and get on line. i have easily cut down on needless deadheading by several hundred miles a month. bottom line i am ahead of the game with the verizon wireless plan.

i will say i had a better connection with "j" than the "ta".
