The newer of the two is a FAQ database. It's to gather things that are useful and important to newbies and put them in an easy to find location.

As Leo said, we're trying to do is gather up threads that have good answers to questions that are 'Frequently Asked', and move them there.
It is an ongoing project, that I'm actally a bit behind on, but will be moving more threads there. They will be reposted in a 'read only' format, to keep things simple.
