Sad thing is, how many people just ignore a video like this simply because it's staged?

It was very impactful, and yet if you look at the comments it's gathering on Youtube, it would seem that the impact is completely lost on a LOT of people. One commenter even blamed the carnage on "crappy American cars"; hello? Look again, genius, the cars are all RHD and the accents are as Scottish as haggis!

I just don't get some people...

Many distractions besides cell phones over power the untrained auto drivers. I have seen soccer moms running down the road turned around trying to calm kids in the back with food/toys.

If every vehicle was regulated like we are I believe the roads would be safer. Any effort to make the roads safer is a good deal to me but at the same time start with the autos as well.

True - and they will never be eliminated entirely, just isn't gonna happen. The best we can do is educate drivers, and remind them frequently, because it's human nature to relax when nothing bad has happened, yet.
