I always run Firestone Transforce HT on my vans. The first thing I do when I buy a new van is get a lifetime alignment at Firestone. It's well worth the money! I've been rotating my tires along with an alignment check every 30,000 miles, and I can get 100k to 120k miles out of a set of tires. It costs almost 800 bucks for a new set of tires, you better take good care of them for that price. GMC's usually have a problems where the tires get eaten up on the inside, but the van I just sold never had that problem after I got a lifetime alignment on it. I don't really know all that much about fords, but you have to keep up on your maintenance. It's even better if you can do a lot of the work yourself, and if you have a simple understanding of basic mechanics. If you don't know a lot about mechanics, chances are you're going to be taken advantage of by shops.
