Is it just me or has other People been sick & tired of putting up with so-much (lack of doing things right the first time, or they just dont care mentallity.) Here is just an example of what I have been experiencing in the last couple of months.
We were waiting to pick-up our new 2007 Hinny truck from our dealer, and I received a call from my salesman and he told me the truck arrived at the dealership,(But) They found a major cigarette burn into the new carpet of the sleeper and found the cigarette still laying on the floor burned out. Of course the driver who "smokes" drove the truck back to Mich. Had no idea how that happened and said the factory must have done it. The factory was contacted and they have a strick no smoking policy due to construction materials and the assorted glues they use building the sleepers. It's pretty simple to figure out what had happened. While we are at the sleeper factory they also can repair the two rivites sombody drove out the side of the sleeper.
Next we ordered new Aluminum wheels all around and finally had a chance to polish them last weekend along with the front chrome bumper.
And guess what? Our passenger front rim is totally destroyed from somebody who changed the rim to install it on our truck must have dropped it onto the concrete floor and had it roll around to make sure no spot was missed. Than they put on a impact wrench to finish off the rim right! They imbedded the lug nuts deep into the wheel instead of simply tighting to specs, and the socket left a nice heavy scratch ring around the lugs on the wheel.
last weekend while parked in a loading dock having freight put onto our new truck. The lugnut who was using the fork truck pretending he was a Nascar driver smashed his freight into the outer top of of rear cargo box roof smashing it in so we cannot shut the rear doors. So after beating in our new roof with a sleg hammer we can now shut the doors if we push real hard.
So now we get to lose time by being off the road to spend a day at the factory having a new carpet installed onto our sleeper, and another day or two having the rear of our cargo box repaired after we run around getting all the paper work completed from the Insurance company and getting two estimates for repair. Not to mention deadheading all over on our dime to get the repaires completed and lost wages.
Oh I forgot to mention we smelled antifreeze and discovered the clamps on our new APU unit were lose and were leaking, so we had to simply tighten them up.
