Hearing test, go by instructions.

My laptop external speakers : I started hearing OK at around 40 Hz and it stopped about 12,000 Hz. It can get loud, so be careful.

Interesting. With the laptop speakers I couldn't hear squat even at 40 Hz (they're laptop speakers). But with earplugs in I could hear 20 Hz with no problems. My high end hearing is shot, though, as it quit at around 6,500 Hz. Too many years playing in loud bands. Been shot for a while now.

Trumpet. Classical and jazz. The classical wasn't all that loud, but the jazz was, since most of it was spent playing in large jazz bands (Big Bands) and jazz-rock and horn bands (think, BS&T, the Ides of march, Chicago, Tower of Power, etc.).
