How this will affect transportation industry?
In the short term, as with every other change that takes place in the transportation industry, most drivers will see it as the sky falling and the end of the world as we know it. In the long term, freight will still get delivered, and the drivers who deliver it will be underpaid, same as now.

Yah, right, and we trusts the Thieves incharged, for it to REPLACE the gas tax ?
it's nothing more then tax increase .

the actual rezone behind this is to compensate for loss revenue do to improve fuel millage.
kind of funny, the Gov. is pushing so hard to get fuel efficient cars, and by doing so get stuck with less tax money.
ever wondered why the electric car was killed 20 years ago ?

actually the transportation industry is very good in passing on fuel costs to it's customers, so me thinking it will directly reflect in increase FSC of some sort. which is good for the truckers, at least the ones hoe can 'charge', and at least till we go to the store to buy the things we haul.
but is also really bad for the country, because our shipping costs and tax Bordon are too expensive for the economy to be able to compete in worlds markets as it is .

Oh, BTW, ever noticed how smart truckers own a Diesel car ? :D
