Rides nice the power is great. The best part now I dont have to spend money on hotel rooms:D Use to use the dodge pickup to haul cars and general freight. (General freight primarly fedex ground packages) The new truck is sweet, I had an upholstery shop take out the back seats and turn the back into a sleeper. Now I can go long distance.

The best part about running under your own authority is you dont have to be pinned down by a trucking company.

It is a step up in size. I can haul up to four f250s or a 48 foot cargo trailer with ease. With my one ton dodge it took for ever to get going down the road and limited living space. I haul mostly cars and contract with a fedex ground hub. With fedex I transport what cant fit on a pup trailer and bring it to the next hub where ever it may be. Whats sweet about it is it has displacement on demand :D

With the 1 ton you could probably haul 2 trucks so it looks like you will have a revenue increase as well even though the mpg's will take a hit.

It uses displacement on demand. My truck when driving on the highway will run on all six cylinders. When sitting idle it only runs on 3. The chrysler hemi engines in the dodge charger and magnum have a similar means of saving fuel. The dodge I use to own did not have that feature which is why I got 9 mpg. Also I can sleep in it as well saving me money on hotel rooms.

Bigshow,
You got me wondering what engine you have in the FL sport chassis truck you have?

AND you also got me wondering about the FedEx stuff (PM me if you like with that info).
