Wee bit high on the price...

I'm not trying to knock an advertiser here, only make an observation. Is it just me, or does Fyda seem to have higher prices than what's normal? Does their financing takes higher risk buyers; and, if so, is that the reason for their high prices? I don't know... maybe they have higher quality stuff on their trucks. I can't see paying 97,000 for a class 8 with 440,000 on the engine... I don't care how new the reefer on it is. What's the general concensus out there? x(

That would seem a 'wee bit' high, as you said.

I'd be thinking it was a typo, but I dropped them a line for you just to verify. Will let you know if I get an answer!

Sounds like somebody called Columbus FYDA. I deal with FYDA in Sharoville, Ohio. They do not do much for the high risk folks. I have had trouble getting financed there I have had no luck getting one of my drivers financed there. I would recommend you call Jeff Eberhart at FYDA in Cincinnati 513-772-7171 and work with him. He is great at sale and there after. I am working with him right now and have bought from him before. That refer you are talking about is just nuts. I dont know who decided they coulod get that price. I have heard rumor that so many new folks are getting into to this they are paying some hefty prices out of ignorance and sellers are taking advantage.

Sounds a little high. Might have put a price on it from another truck.

another truck? Check this out, Dave...

98 FL70 w/a CAT3126 engine w/ 540,000 miles. Price? $24,900.
00 FL70 CAT3126 engine w/ 377,000 miles. Price is $37,900.
01 FL80 Cummins ISC w/350,000 miles. Price is $47,900. A little more reasonable comparible to the others, but still too high in my eyes.

Could it be the demand for expeditor trucks lately? I've heard they couldn't keep them on the lot. I feel sorry for the uninformed newbies who go to lots and think they're getting a deal when they're getting a FL70 with a 3126 and 500,000 miles on it for 25,000. I'd rather take that money to Vegas... I would have a better chance of coming out ahead.

Shame on you, vultures. x(
