I you are crossing the border into Canada don't carry anything more sinister looking than a small pocket knife. I believe an E.O. member got hassled over a tire billy because it had a leather thong through the handle thus making it a weapon in the eyes of the Canadian official. The 16d nail in the business end didn't help the driver's case.

Be aware of your surroundings and keep your doors locked. If an area or situation doesn't feel right, leave. Don't park near cargo vans, especially white ones. These vehicles are the number one choice of serial killers, rapists, plumbers, pornographers, pedophiles, expediters and various other sociopaths.

I can legally carry a firearm anywhere in the country, as I'm a retired Sergeant with the Lucas County Sheriff's Office in Ohio. When I was driving for Premium Transportation, I NEVER carried any type of weapon in the vehicle. It was against company policy and I made Canadian runs regularly.

I once had to pick up a trailer from Canadian customs.
The driver tried to take a gun into Canada. I remember thinking, what a idiot. Don't know what happened to the driver, but I got his load.

Not me, never seen a need for it.

Thank God! Not everyone has been lucky enough to say that and sadly lost their lives. Hopefully the armed criminals will pretend they don't know our carriers "No weapons Policy" and move on to the next unarmed sitting duck.

I will not say what is right/wrong, to carry or not to, but I would rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6. That said. There are laws in specific states that you run that there is no reciprocity. So you will have to lock it up and put it away from you.

Hey guys, new here, but jusr wanted to drop my 2 cents on this.
First off, yes, I am a 2a supporter. That said, I get companies not allowing drivers to carry. I don't agree with it, but I understand it. That being said, there are a LOT of "less lethal" alternatives to a firearm. Anything from a kubaton keychain to a small baseball bat to a can of wasp/bee spray to a can of bear repellant. A can of spray, whether wasp or bear spray has a good range and will drop almost anyone pretty darn quickly. (Meth/crack head reaction may vary) The flip side, (to me) is that they don't always end the scumballs "occupation". Wasp spray in the eyes will definitely put them out of work for a while though. plus you don't run into the 2nd guessing you will get from prosecutors, PD, "distraught family members" etc.
Your milage may vary, this is just my opinion.

I carry.... A tire thumper ( cuz I need to thump my tires ) A small aluminum baseball bat ( cuz I like to go to batting cages to practice my softball swing ) and a heavy claw hammer ( cuz I need to drive nails for securement, and also remove nails afterward ) I just happen to keep them in the truck so they won't get "stolen" Lord Only knows where I'd be without my Hairspray!!!! 4eeb8962-a68d-4c6f-93e5-32dbc0e90f7c_2.c9c423a88e1ead736aa5afcc0dd1a7fe.jpeg

I'm going to attempt to explain this best I can..... We ( my husband ) had a fella that made an " aluminum bar that was custom made, with a 90* angle flange ??? That our trucks use , that slide into the driver window "slot" and passenger window.
This bar stops the drivers / passenger doors from being opened...as they push/pull against the opposite door.
Essentially, if you try/or are able to unlock or open one door....the bar does not allow the door too open as the bar is attached to the opposite door, holding it closed. Breaking the window is only option to reach in and remove the securement bar.

Hoping I explained that well.......
