First, I must say that I am not a big fan of Rick Perry. The best thing I can say for him is at least he has executive experience. That is a plus.

I do really like how he handled this guy. (assuming it is not a set up to make him look good) This is how to handle so called reporters.

Yes I agree, the only thing I wish he could do is respond faster to questions. It looks as though he's fishing for an answer.;)

Could be, I don't know him. I have known many people who respond slowly, not because they are slow or stupid, but because they look at all options prior to responding. I just don't know. I would have to spend a lot of time speaking in person with him to know. Don't want to prejudge.

This is great! It's about time the candidates started to call these reporters on their false assumptions and unfounded assertions. It seems like Perry is starting to find his footing for competing on the national level, both on the campaign trail and in the debates. Remember, it took Romney a while to develop his "A" game and his confidence level - he looks a lot better now than he did in 2008.
