Water problem on box floor.

I am having a water problem with the Morgan box on my GMC. It is getting wet around the wheel well boxes and allowing some of my cargo to get wet. I need to fix this ASAP.

I was wondering what would be the best way to approach this. I was thinking of silcone sealant around the top and bottom od the joints with the wood and then a liberal dose of the nasty rubberized undercoating on top of that.

Thanks!

The "waterproofing" on most truck boxes really just consists of that rubberized undercoating sprayed on underneath. What you mentioned would be the best bet with those wheel boxes, just use silicone caulking that can flex a little. I have yet to see a box that didn't start leaking a little water at points once they get old.

I love that spray on undercoating. I have used it a couple of times on my box and it stopped a leak every time.

Yes, the spray on undercoating is excellent, especially living in the salty rust belt. Works especially great over electrical connectors on tail lights where running light wire rotting is frequent.
