Seattle woman facing debt from cancer treatment advertises for north-of-border mate with benefits

Again on the immigration issue.

This woman will never get into Canada even if she marries a Canadian. She will undoubtly fail the physical exam required and her apps will be rejected. I don't understand why someone hasn't told her of the laws. I can only assume she is desparate and grasping at straws and I can't blame her for that. And the fact her case has gone public with her intent makes her application more suspect.

You know OVM, there is something more to this than just debt.

Being without health care for a while, I found ways to get care when I needed it - medications were a pain but I did it. When I got sick back in the mid 90's and the insurance refused to pay for life saving therapy, I found a way to get care and payed for it later.

With the countless programs that we have in this country, I find it rather impossible for anyone that has a life threating issues not find the money - there are even people who do fund raising for medical expenses.

your absolutely right...There are numerous organizations that do as you mentioned. I don't think this women has exhausted all her options here in the U.S.
