UPS Expedite Freight

Does any have any updates on UPS getting into the expedite freight business? Rumor is that that have started a division that will be rolled into the UPS Supply Chain group.

They have had a expedite division for several years. They recently renamed it, but no other real changes. Still a pretty small outfit by industry standards.

Now they are calling themselves UPS Express Critical, (formerly UPS Expedite, formerly Menlo Expedite, formerly Emery Expedite). That is a name change about once a year since I signed on with them! The only thing that has changed now from the Emery days is more airport drops. Surface expedite runs are still few and far between. Customers seem to be confused by all the different UPS divisions. Seems that the UPS sales and marketing people have a lot of work to do to help clear things up for the shippers.
