Sooo, we are wanting to raise minimum wage to 10.10, then depending on a persons age and state residency, it may be more cost effective for a employee to go part-time when the employer dumps their insurance and they have to go on the exchange?
They said today it would happen in numerous states but provide more opportunity? Opportunity for what?

And yet there will still be those defending and promoting it and singing the praises.

When the minimum wage jumps to $10.10 an hour, just about every fast food item will go up to compensate... then people will buy less fast food as a result, which will cause many in that industry to be laid off.

Actually, that will happen in almost every industry that pays lower wages increased by a $10.10 minimum wage.

So Joe, I've got good news and bad news for you...

The good news is you just got a nice raise...

The bad news is you're fired!

Basic economics.

1) The more manufacturing or production we have, the stronger our dollar, the less expensive our cost of living.
However as long as Americans insist on a comfy, cozy, sedentary, dispoable get it get it cheap form Chinamart way of life we will continue to reap the fruits of our laziness.

However, we are the suckers living and working in an entitlement society.
I've always believed the best unemployment insurance is poverty and hunger.
