There is an episode on the History Channel's Modern Marvels program called "War Planes of World War II". Citizens, true citizens not criminals imported for their votes, speak of their experiences building the aircraft that helped win the war. They speak of duty and honor. They speak of pride in their work and their nation. This is true pride in our country. This is the last generation that almost entirely was patriotic and loyal and proud.

Anyone can say anything they want. Those who are convincing can deceive and delude those who are easily manipulated, easily fooled. We see that more and more. Somehow thinking has shifted from the brain to the heart. Those who think with their heart are just like the chicken man, the one who vociferously proclaims he will never be hypnotized after having been awakened following the chicken imitation.

We've (the bought voters and simpler minded heart feelers) elected the hypnotist and a nation of leaches and lemmings, in blind devotion and faith, accept and follow anything endorsed by the hypnotist, his minions or his mouthpiece media. The heart can do no less and the mind doesn't bother with such things.

Pride has been confused and now is nothing more than blind devotion in the minds and dictionaries of many. They'll likely never see it or acknowledge it because they can't do anything other than what the hypnotist directs until/unless released from the trance. Sadly, that is rare in this circumstance.

False pride is a blight spreading more and more across the nation. Unless we get back to teaching history as it happened and demanding responsibility we will never have true pride again and will lose our nation.

When talking about deceiving those who are easily manipulated, you should be careful. Alot of people who supported GWB and the war with the weapons of mass destruction theme,will think you are talking about them. It is real easy to spot them they tend to use terms like Barry, Ohbummer, and the like. They also have deeply seeded guilt for voting for a guy who had bankrupted nearly everything he had ever touched and now he can add the good ole US of A to that list. I guess they feel the most guilty because even after it was obvious that he had no clue what he was doing, they voted for him again! They are punch drunk on GOP Koolaid, maybe if they scream loud enough about how bad the Dems are, nobody will notice just how bad they screwed everything up.

I guess the ones who are screaming the most are the ones with the most guilt. It's ok, we will get things back on track. We know the last administration left a huge mess. Give him some time and we will get back to Pre-George, growth and economic prosperity.

I am really surprised that LDB posted this thread. It's ok man you were hypnotized by George, Dick, Rush and the boys. We all make mistakes. At least the Hypnotist is back in Texas.

I tend to agree with DougTravels. Doug obviously got a big dose of Mr. Common Sense before his untimely demise. I wil say this about Mr. LDB though. He is firmly positioned in Conservatism. His convictions are obvious. He makes sensible points without sounding like a right wing wacko. I have to respect that. There are only a few around here who fit that MO ( I don't mean Missouri).

A far as being hypnotized by George and Rush, yes there are many. Hypnotized by Dick? Well, there's a few of them here, that's for sure...

Sorry guys, but I KNOW, having worked on that project that Iraq DID have WMD's. They were documented and pictures exsisted then and now. The problem was a lack of oversite by the UN (big surprise) since so many there were taking kick backs from Saddam. Same with France and Germany. The WMD's included but was not limited to, nerve gas shells, blister agents, mustard gas shells. We did find 500 tons of yellow cake uranium, used in producing weapons grade plutonium and around 250 artillarly shells containing gas weapons. This is far short of the known inventory. We are still finding the odd shell here and there as we continue in our de-tox efforts. There a many theories as the the location of the missing WMD's. The leading likely guess is that they were moved to Syria. There are many conspericy theories, like they are on ships "hiding" on the open seas etc. Most likely bull hockey. There have been a few cases of nerve gas shells being used in IED's but so far none have worked. You can believe the networks, I just ask the guys I know who are still working this and friends and reletives that have taken part in the real world work that is being done in Iraq. There is still a VERY real chance that one or more of those gas shells will show up here in a terror attack. There, there is my rant, fire away, ridicule and make fun. ENJOY!!

It is BAD stuff to be in the hands of someone like Saddam. It is the same stuff that IRAN is using to make thier weapons. OH THAT"S right, thiers is a PEACEFULL nuke program and I am just parinoid. :rolleyes: So is North Koreas program. That missile was just for thier version of DirecTV. I forgot. AND that nuke they detonated was a PEACEFULL nuke to be used for dam building. We have no threats out there. Us old guys are just living in the past. Worried for nothing. ;) Layoutshooter

Yeah, I will never forget when I went down to NPIC (National Phographic Interpitation Center) for the first time. The guys we hired from Disney were not making thier drawings look "REAL ENOUGH" to fool Congress and the gullibable people and it was going to make it harder to get our budget increased. WE had them make thier work more "realistic" you know, make the non-exsistant WMD's look better and some of thier renderings of Soviet Mobile Missiles had wrong markings on them and they were not drawing enough to justify the B1B's so WE had them add a few more battalions. WE really don't have photo satillites up there, just good animators. It was just like on Dec 7th, 1941, we were not REALLY attacked by Japan, it was a Michael Moore, docu-drama. He and FDR were conspiring to get us into the war to end Capitolist Opression in Europe, they were both holding stock in Detroit based companys and wanted to increase the value of the stock and insure more UAW members. Michael Moore also worked for Stalin at that time.

Man, this is just way toooo easy. I bet some will really believe this stuff, but then again, why not? They believe CNN, Michael Moore and Oliver Stone and NOT those who really did the stuff. YOU guys are EASY!!!!! ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WOW!! Listen to that reel sing!!!! Got a big one on this time!!!! That is the Obama battle cry!! REEL in those fish!!! Just dangle the WE are nice worm and the freebee worm and the fools line up.

I am sorry to inform you sir that there is a sterotype out here in the world (among Earth People) that conservatives do not have much of a sense of humor. I did not start it but yes it does exist. On the good side many stereotypes are false.

The fact that you have chosen to never give a chance to a show, that is widely regarded as one of the funniest ever produced, supports the above mentioned STEREOTYPE that conservatives have no sense of humor.

I bet you are a fan of All in the family.
