Too many variables

There are just too many variables for threads like % vs FL and others that just compare money and miles. If the main object is max $, yeah, I'd want to know.

But if other factors about the company are making me unhappy, top dollar won't cut it. Some ppl might do great at FedEx, but hate being babysat and having their hand held. Some ppl might do great at Landstar, but hate dealing with individual brokers. What works for one might not for another.

Yes, I want to make good money, but don't want to hate my job, or the company I'm signed on with. I spent too many years in a job (non driving) like that, the money wasn't worth it. If I get enough miles, at a rate that gives me a decent income, and am satisfied with the company I run for, that's the main thing, for me.

Just like regular OTR truck driving, everyone has to find their niche, the company that gives them the best selection of what they want, be it big bucks, good hometime, new, nice trucks to drive, level of respect, etc..

Maybe not for all, but the money isn't always the final deciding factor.
