In my eyes, it was more than just a passing, it was a great loss to all that knew him. I refuse to ever pick up the qualcomm again. I was under load, got the fuel surcharge for the week, and it beeped. Hmmm? I read that, and just about fell out of my seat.
Today, Express-1 lost a safety director, but we gained an angel. Now he can manage his fleet from the comfy clouds from above. RIP Bob Tracey

Yes it was very sad. My wife picked the QC up and read it and about cried. We are really good friends with his son Kyle that works in the shop. I hope he is doing well in this tough time. And he will be missed. Only talked to him a few times and was very nice and took care of my probs. Just hope X1 finds someone as good to replace him and not a moron. Our condolences go out to everyone he touched. Sincerely

He will be very hard to replace. In my opinion he had the hardest job at the company. If he called you or you called him it probably was not for something good. He had the liablilty of the company on his shoulders. I talked to him a grand total of 3 times (orientation, and picking up trip packs twice) and no matter how busy he was he still had time to talk. He will be missed. R.I.P.

I've met him on a couple occasions, when I was with E-1 in 04. He went to bat for me, when I had the lease purchase fiasco. He brought a personal touch to E-1 that I missed when I went to Panther.
The expediting community, and E-1 in particular, will miss Bob. He was as genuine as it gets.

Bob was definitely one of the most genuine people I've met. No matter what, his honesty and dedication were unwavering and he will be missed greatly within these walls. He was here at Express-1 for 10 years, and we feel as though we've lost a family member. If Kyle hasn't been logged in here, I will be sure to print your comments for him. I know he'll like hearing from others about how his dad touched others.
