The Trump Card...

They’re defending the constitution from a constitutionally sanctioned ICE? Oh, ok.
Now they are protesting at Walz’s residence.
No. These citizen heroes are defending the Constitution of the Unites States from Trump-sanctioned thugs who are among the "all enemies foreign and domestic" the Constitution itself anticipates, which is why that language is included.

ICE is an enemy of the US Constitution. ICE has been corrupted by Trump and is past the point of being reformed. ICE must be abolished, and those who committed illegal acts while hiding behind their ICE masks must be brought to justice under the very Constitution they undermine.

I'm not alone in this anti-ICE sentiment. Even if you ignore the 4-6 million who turned out in the June No Kings protest, and the 5-7 million who turned out in October, when you see fans at a wrestling match unify in an Anti ICE chant (see this), you know the anti-ICE sentiment runs deep and wide.

You read above about the 30,000 trained constitutional observers in Minnesota. This is part of a nationwide movement. On Jan 28, 200,000 people had registered for "Eyes on ICE" online training. Similar training happened on Feb 5 but I do not yet know the number of participants. This is very encouraging. The people are rising to defend the Constitution against those who are undermining it.

This is bad for Trump. Maybe he should host a big stadium rally in a red state to show how much public support he still enjoys.

No, interfering with ICE operations( which is sanctioned by the constitution btw)isn’t adhering to the constitution. It’s breaking the law and a federal crime.

And no, it doesn’t make ICE thugs because they arrest people who resist or become violent. It’s their job.
You are correct. Arresting someone who resists or becomes violent does not make an ICE agent a thug. Real and professional police officers do that all the time, while respecting the constitutional rights of the people being arrested.

What makes an ICE agent a thug is the lack of training they have and their willingness to follow orders that trample on the constitutional rights of those they engage with. In that, it is ICE committing the crimes and you can mark my words, people are really, really, really pissed about that.

That's why you see HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of people signing up to be ICE watchers. That's why you see MILLIONS of people protesting in the No Kings protests. And it's why citizens like me are already communicating with the Democrats who are expected to take the House and maybe the Senate to crack down hard on the criminals who trampled our Constitution into the ground instead of abide by and uphold it.

The RAGE is building well beyond the tolerance and compromise shown before. Democrats are super angry about Garland's foot-dragging in prosecuting Trump. They are super angry at the Democrats who tried to navigate the middle ground and give Trump the benefit of the doubt. They are super angry at the generals who obeyed Trump's illegal orders to murder people in boats. The "I was just following orders" defense the generals and pilots will give will fail, just like that defense failed for the Nazi criminals. Those officers were supposed to act as a check against constitutional travesties. They failed to do that and their crimes (murder) will be punished.

There is a STRONG groundswell of rage developing among all but the most die-hard and pig-ignorant Republicans (a minority becoming increasingly weak).

In Nazi Germany, the people remained silent. In the US today, they are taking to the streets by the millions and there will be no forgiveness and no quarter given to the fascist leaders and thugs who have created the state of things today.

These people are acting insane because they have bought into an insane leader. In the months and years ahead many of them will deny they ever supported Trump for will find some excuse for doing so. That will make no difference for those, those who committed crimes under the Trump rules and violated the constitutional rights of human beings who held them.

I am literally losing sleep over the sight of toddler children being unconstitutionally arrested and deported. That is inhuman in every sense of the word. To hell with the Nazi thugs doing such things. To jail with them all. Masked "agents" in our streets? No way! No more!

Go ahead and continue to dream your dream. It's meaningless to me. My activist boots are on and I'm with those actually fighting to make things right.

This was the same statements made by the supporters of the Brownshirters....

Pathetic

The point is, I am tired of the comparisons to histories evils.

Liberals, or even the left wing ie; progressives, are not Nazis, STOP IT! Does the term meaning anything nowadays? Does anybody know what the Nazis did or what they stand for? Stop using the term!
Agree. Stop using the term!

They wear masks because they’re being threatened if identified for doing their job.
BTW, a lot of the these “protesters” are getting paid. A lot of astroturfing color revolution going on.

Trump Egomaniac (literally)

Trump is withholding billions of dollars in New York infrastructure funding unless he gets Penn Station and Dulles Airport named after him.

Brazen corruption. Sick and twisted for an elected official to do this.

Where are the sane Republicans rising against this?

The core of the news story relies on high-level unnamed sources from major news outlets. However, both primary participants (Trump and Schumer) have now gone on the record to confirm that the topic of renaming Penn Station was indeed discussed, though they vehemently disagree on who initiated the proposal.

It may have been discussed. But the anonymous sources say he’s refusing the money unless it’s named after him. Again, anonymous sources.

Red Counties HATE ICE Too

Hanover County VA is a deep-red, Republican stronghold. See the screenshot for it's voting results. The people there recently turned out in mass to CRUSH ICE's plans to set up a detention center there.

Six of the seven County Board of Supervisors are Republican. The board issued a unanimous statement of opposition on January 28, 2026. The property owner responded by pulling the proposed ICE deal.

Way to go, Hanover County Republicans! Bravo! :clapping-happy:

"Amid nationwide shock over recent ICE-related deaths in Minneapolis that have ignited protests and debate over federal immigration enforcement, the Hanover County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday pushed back against a U.S. Department of Homeland Security plan to convert a newly built warehouse off Lakeridge Parkway into an immigration detention processing facility.

"More than 500 protesters — along with some supporters of ICE’s enforcement efforts — gathered outside the county administration building and residents filled the meeting room to capacity to voice overwhelming opposition."
