The Trump Card...

Maybe Dems should spend a lot of advertising and their resources in that state to help him win. Some say it’s worth the try .
The Democrats spent $80 million for a loser in 2018 senate race. Surely they'll bet at least that much on a guy that believes there are 6 sexes in the human race.

Tired of This

We have an insane US president playing poker with Iranian religious fanatics and both parties cheat. Every day we hear of a new deal or close to a deal. That evaporates and the next close-to-deal headline appears. In the meantime, the Straight of Hormuz remains closed, and strategic assets are consumed or destroyed, heaping more pain on the global economy and US citizens.

Trump could end this today by admitting his unconstitutional war of choice was a blunder and ordering US troops to disengage, but he won't.

I heard him tout it yesterday.
That was the point of the original post. He touts the market when it goes up, taking full credit. But when it goes down, he takes no responsibility. That's a bit one-sided and self-serving, don't ya think?

They'll have it to spend. Money is pouring in to support their man. In any campaign, fundraising is a legitimate indicator of support. But it is not always the case that the candidate with the most money wins when the voters show up on Election Day.

Compared to Talarico, Paxton is a poor fundraiser. But the Republicans are not going to let Texas go without a fight. In this now competitive race, where Talarico enjoys a slight lead in the polls, Republican PACs and the party will pour millions into this. It's likely that all media markets in Texas will be financially saturated such that both candidates enjoy equal name recognition.

I hope the Republicans spend millions getting that message out. Billboards, TV, Radio, Social Media ads, direct mail, flyers distributed door to door.

Talarico Believes There are Six Sexes in the Human Race!!!!

Talarico is on record actually saying this. Ripped out of context, it makes for good negative-campaign fodder. But it remains bizarre and if the Republicans use it, .... please, please, please do. We can only hope.

Talarico is a serous candidate with a strong message that meets people at the gas pumps and grocery store. If he stays on message and the hair-on-fire Republicans try to point their fingers at him saying the people should vote for Paxton because Talarico believes there are six sexes .... Like I said, we can only hope.

The Democrats don't have to come up with bizarre items like that in their opposition research. Paxton has provided a full book with receipts.

Does Trump Matter Any More?

Well of course Trump matters, many would say. Look at how his endorsement helped Paxton in the Texas GOP primary runoff.

But it's interesting to see what Democrat Talarico is doing now that the primary is over. He's making the race about Paxton, not Trump.

AP: "Texas Democrat James Talarico launched his general election campaign for the U.S. Senate Wednesday by framing his Republican opponent, state Attorney General Ken Paxton, as part of a corrupt political establishment that uses power to serve itself rather than the people."

“Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America,” Talarico told a crowd of about 1,000 supporters who packed a dance club in downtown Houston. “He has failed the character test. He has put his own interests above the laws of Texas. Those are not my words, those are the words of Ken Paxton’s fellow Republicans.”

Talarico is running for the people. Paxton is running for the rich, and to become rich. Good message, methinks.

Paxton was outspent massively by an incumbent senator and he still won by a tremendous margin.

Epstein Files and Bondi Update

If Trump started the war with Iran to keep the Epstein files out of the news, as some say he did, it worked for a while. But today, former US AG Bondi is bringing the Epstein files back into the headlines by appearing before the House Oversight Committee.

Her remarks will be carefully made because of a now active complaint filed against her with the FL Bar, seeking her disbarment. The complaint is a long, detailed, and scathing list of alleged crimes and acts of professional misconduct that justify disbarment, the complainants say.

The complainants are a coalition of legal advocacy groups, plus 120 co-signers including retired Florida judges, constitutional law professors, and legal ethics experts. Bondi's license to practice law is in grave jeopardy.

So it looks like we’re having a “Marshall plan” for Iran, in the amount of 300 billion to pay for the damage we did.

Winning?

Yes. Ripped out of context. Stay on this. Keep it front and center. It's good for the Democrats. As I said, I'm hoping the Texas Republicans make this a centerpiece of the Paxton campaign.
