Moose, it's just an Argosy. I wanted one also.
ARI could do wonders.
My Pete COE had 108" of sleeper.a 20' box and was 34' OAL.
Sadly, last I heard they couldn't get the new engines to work.
The Argosy being built now are for export only.

Yes BTDT, i posted before reading the link. just think it looks great. the new motors are wide. so dose the radiator. that's why you can't get a Cascedia glider. and only the old Coronado. new coronado's have wider frame rails.

It's true, the concept isn't really new.

Other than the fact that it's a nice looking rig, I was more bemused that walmart was trying to con everyone by trying to give the impression that they are environmentally friendly, all the while using a glider kit to get around epa emissions regulations.

If they still made the argosy for north america and I was looking for a D unit, that would be my choice. I think you could fit a 30' box on them.

I think the person who wrote that article about how this truck fails the environment needs to take a chill pill, from what it sounds like to me, this vehicle was built as a proof of concept. If they like the results they are getting from this test and wanted to order lets say 500 trucks, I bet Freightliner would find a way to put a modern engine in that chassis.
