Another recipe for my garden leeks
Savory Cornbread
Preheat oven to 375
Fry 3-4 slices of bacon in iron skillet (remove and crumble)
saute half a cup of leeks
Put melted butter in skillet 1/2 cup
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
Mix
Add
1 cup flour
2 cups cornmeal
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of sugar
pinch of salt
Mix 1 cup of buttermilk and I cup of sour cream and stir in
add crumbled bacon bits and sauteed leeks
stir all together and put in the same cast iron pan
Bake at 375 for 30 minutes
