I want to thank the Applebee's Chain for the meals they served to Vets on this Veteran's day. Mrs. Layoutshooter went to the Monroe MI store, where with my dad and nephew, had dinner. The place was PACKED with vet's of ALL ages. People had to wait for tables. I was WONDERFUL to see all those very proud "gray hairs" (me included) with the few young ones mixed in, being shown RESPECT and thanked for their service. It was a FAR cry from when I was SPIT ON while in uniform at Detroit Metro in 1971.
