CLEVELAND, Tenn. (CNN/WTVC) - At the holidays, many people give toys and gifts to help the needy. But some Tennesseeans are using tattoos to make sure kids have presents under the tree this year.
A Cleveland, Tenn. tattoo artist is collecting for Toys for Tots, while offering up ink. It's part of an attempt to break the world record for longest tattoo session.
"I'm a 33-year-old adult and I still remember a good Christmas. I want someone else to feel that. Someone who's not expecting anything. I want them to be surprised," said Noah Stoop, tattoo recipient.
Artist John Cross was inspired to work with Toys for Tots after his time in the Marines, as the Corps is a major backer of the charity.
He's hoping to tattoo people for 50 hours straight, to break the record. That will take him until Wednesday afternoon
