Take the National Drivers Test

No it is not where the BEST drivers are just the so-called most KNOWLEDGEABLE drivers are. It says so right on the site above the state by state scores.
It says: Where are the most knowledgeable drivers in the nation? The following is a complete list of state rankings for the GMAC Insurance National Drivers Test, comparing this year's results to the past two surveys.
Which is a good thing because I know they really couldn't think ID has the best drivers followed by AK. Heck, people are scared to drive in AK because there is a state trooper on every street corner!

Hmmmmm... interesting point of view, FortWayne...

People who have taken the time to learn the rules of the road
are not better drivers...

I'd suggest that to become a better driver
would require more knowledge...

But your correction is noted...
the study was about knowledge

Would you rather have a person who 'had the thought power' of knowing how NOT to hit a person walking across the street or a person with the 'skill' to avoid hitting the person?
SKILL TRUMPS 99% OF THE TIME - my thought.
Book power means little when behind the wheel.........skills means everything.

LLLLLLLLLLLLOL.... :7

Well, FortWayne...

There is certainly no need to argue with logic like that..!!!!

DRIVE... DRIVE... DRIVE...

I may not KNOW what to do...

BUT, my SKILL will get me through... :7 :7 :7 :7

PS....

The price of obtaining Skill without Knowledge is often VERY high...

The price of obtaining Skill without Knowledge is often VERY high...is what you just said.

Well, you can not read to gain knowledge unless you have the skill to pick the book up.........

You may have the class room knowledge to turn a semi, but unless you have the skill to turn the semi - the knowledge is useless........

Plenty of people have the knowledge to play football, only a few have the skill to actually play it...........

Knowledge is a basic skill learned in a class room in most part, where skill is a practical craft applied to our everyday professions......

The two are a perfect need of the other, what I am saying is - which would you rather have a person who has the knowledge of knowing how to drive, but has never driven - or a person that has shown the skills to be able to drive, that just is not book smart.

If I want a truck driver - I'll hire one, not a math professor.

There is a difference between the most knowledgeable drivers, and the 'best' ones, because all the knowlege in the world is no use, if you don't actually practice what you know. I bet people can check the correct answer, but it's not the way they drive, ya know?
