Just wondering if a 2500 srw would be ok or is there an option for a srw in a 3500 Sprinter. I am going to get into the bussines very shortly either expoditing or for fedex home delivery. Is a Sprinter a good van for this???

Can't get SRW on 3500 Sprinters..........
You mentioned home delivery or expediting....I would think the weights and cargo would be very different in those situations...
Just an observation............

As Taz pointed out there is no 3500 Sprinter with single rear wheels. Also be aware FDX Home requires a truck with 550 cubic feet of cargo area minimum.

on 3500 sprinter from greengrifford sales persoon you can cut 4inches from each side of wheel well and pallet will go down middle
allright,
there are no support pieces on that part of the wheel well any good
truck body shop could do it or there is
a place call midwest in indinia that does it don't know how much it cost

Be advised that anytime you modify the integrity of a vehicle without manufacturer authorizing the change or approving the the upfit company for the type of modification you are probably voiding your warranty......

While not an issue to get the job done...the cost later down the road could be costly....

Thing like cutting the body could affect the rust warranty and other items......
t
Just be careful you have all the facts before you let anybody start any type of modification.....

My opinion of course....

Hey,

I have an '03 140" High top 2500 Sprinter, 150+K miles,
Local Delivery / 22.5 mpg
Run a search on this site for " Sprinter "
You will see that the EGR valve (an EPA required emission valve)
is a significant problem, it carbons up quickly if you idle, causing hesitations,
maybe leaving you stranded.
and is a $500 repair. I quit letting mine idle, seems to be end of problem...

If I were buying one today, I would get a 3500 cab chassis and add a box.

Any Specific questions???

Funny you should mention the cab/chassis configuration.
I just got the spec sheet from Supreme on the approval to upfit the Sprinters with a variety of bodies.

At the work truck show in Baltimore earlier this year I saw a cab/chassis "up close and personal".....I was personally not impressed....but who knows ????

You can order a cab/chassis with an FRP or Sheet and post cargo van.
Sizes are 12' and 14' with a 79" or 90" width...wheel wells are 49" between ( pallet size ) This is for the FRP body.

With aluminum (sheet and post) you get 12' and 14' with 86" width.
flat floor feature.........

Probably check out the Supreme website and see what they are offering....

if you do what i reomend before you get it done have the dealer
give you something that say, it won't effect the warranty and
won't leave you out on a limb as someone said
could be costly in the end
i was just passing on what a sales person said that could be done
