Sprinter MPG better w/age?

Had the Sprinter serviced last month (175,000 miles)
MPG went from a very steady 22.5 to now getting 23.5-24MPG
Seems odd

Any Ideas Why?

Have you lost a lot of weight?-just kidding-Have you changed fuel brands or driving habits? Other than that, with 175,000 miles,it's probably just a blip, but at least it's one in your favor.Other factors include, but are not limited to,tire pressure, alignment, various changes in mechanics of the vehicle(lubricants, service frequency, emissions control functions and upkeep)and of course, how much weight you carry and how you drive.Your overall milage seems right-on for a Sprinter.

Have you changed engine oil brand? Sounds odd, but when I went with amsoil in my personal cars mileage went up about .5 mpg! Just a thought I had.

Not a blip... same for 1000+ miles

Just wondering-how many miles can you travel after fueling-up?My Ford(gas) will get me 565 miles, usually about 1/2 of a run,so that 1000 miles is only figured into two fill-ups and one trip, not quite enough to be concerned or overjoyed. Paul.
