If possible I would like some input from any solo D-unit o/o from the Detroit area. I know that there are some of you out there, and I would like to know what your experience has been. I will soon be entering the industry and would like to know if a solo D-unit can operate profitably out of Detroit with the HOS. I know that Detroit is the expediting capital of the world, and does this work to your advantage as far as getting loads and getting home more often than others. I would also like some input concerning carriers that operate more regionally in the Midwest such as Express-1, as I am looking into possibly signing on with them.
