Slow start?

My wife and I started driving a sprinter van on 01/13. We got a load that night going from Milwaukee down to New Mexico. Haven't had a load since. Is it a carrier issue? We're signed on with a few small ones like T&K, Little Truck, Eclipse. Have most
of you other sprinter/van drivers been having a hard time finding loads? We moved from NM to Oklahoma City in hopes of getting a run. We're very new and green to the industry.

The first thing you might want to do is change your screen name. Offensive on many levels.

I don't think he's trolling.

You're in the boonies. There are very few loads out there. Every time you go to the boonies, you're rolling the dice. You could get a good load back right away, which would be a jackpot. Or you could end up sitting for days our even longer before getting a load back, which destroys your profit margin going out. Or you might have to deadhead back to get a load. Every time you go out there, it's a game of "DO YOU FEEL LUCKY?" Some drivers never go out there for that very reason. Back when freight was plentiful, there were lots of drivers who never left Ohio/Indiana/Michigan.

You rolled the dice, unknowingly, by going out there, and this time you came up snake eyes, partly because it's statistically the slowest time of the year, freight-wise. There are lots and lots of drivers sitting around, doing nothing but reading EO, bidding on every load that comes down the pike. You gambled and lost this time. Now cut your losses and deadhead back to the freight area at the close of business today. Oklahoma City isn't much better than New Mexico.

During the busier season, it might make more sense to go to the boonies. It's still a gamble, but the odds are a little better then.

For one your to far out west. If you want to be sucessfull need to keep east/midwest as much as possible. If you can afford it dead head to some place in the midwest.

First ,it is super slow for vans. Second I don't think was a good choice going team for the small companies .Driving team for the small brokers it is same than driving solo. You not gonna have more miles than a solo driver ,plus you will receive the pay much later. If you want to take advantage that you are a team you should sign up with Panther or Tristate for example. More miles ,better pay miles and pay after two weeks.
