Im sitting at home, since saturday, didnt expect to get loaded over week end,and since Im home,Im more selective what I do.This is why I turned down 3 loads on monday,so i cant blame anyone else for being slow.Last week, left home on wednesday, returned home on saturday, for 3 days, made $4000.00.Since the beginning of year,Ive been sick with flu,so I put myself in situations that I could get some rest.Is it really slow,or are you in just a bad area?

I'm finding it strange...one week really good week with lots of load offers, the next only like 500 miles for the whole week as a team.

Iceroad, Don't feel bad about missing the load to TX, nothing moving here in Laredo. From what we hear, nothing moving anywhere in TX.
Been here since Friday, made it to 3rd out and 2 more trucks came in this morning with a 1st out, now back to 5th.

Iceroadtrucker are you with Panther? if so are you on the sms program? Many times in places where my phone cant get calls it will still get a text message if you arent on it you may want to rethink it.

Nightcreacher--Used to drive and make those decissions for myself. Because of illness in my family, I'm now dispatching for the same company I drove for. Now I'm the one that takes the heat for few or no loads. To answer your question, I have trucks in several states and don't have that many choices to pick from as far as loads go.

What happened to cause the 2 new trucks to be in front of you? how did they get a 1st out when you have been there since
last Friday?

Must be a cat thing. I know I couldn't work like that. If they (the cat) ain't got nothing, I'm on one of the boards making me a move. Tough times require tough measures. Sittin don't hurt the cat but your bottom line is the bottom line.
Just my opinion,

We are a team with Panther, and since we came back from christmas break- we have managed to pull out okay weeks, nothing off the charts, but pretty decent. Thank goodness we go to Canada though- our longest runs have been up to Toronto, and a run to Quebec, and a run just across the border... but if we didn't go to Canada I am sure we would have had some bad weeks.. the load offers have not been rolling in that's for sure!
