Anyone have info on making pro heat gen 4 into strictly a 115 volt generator? Bill Moore fromTSI says there is a conversion that uses an electronic box that eliminates the hvac unit Any help would be appreciated!

there are reduced voltage transformers, but u need to select the kva rating of such a transformer, like 5kva rating and a voltage like 240 volt single phase to 120 volt single phase, but I would call the manufacturer for sure. If Im understanding u correctly.

Doesn't the unit put out 115 to begin with?

The conversion kit I think he is talking about fools some of the control unit that the HVAC unit is functioning but not needed.

Why can't the unit be setup to bypass the control unit?

All it is, is a generator with an A/C unit attached.

Re: greg

I am new to his type of forum so I hope I dont screw up! What I am trying to do is keep the electronic functions on the motor operating such as glow plugs and low oil and high heat protection functioning. I do thank you for replying.
