Empty I was insured, non trucking Liability
Ceva covers liability while under a load
So in essence, when hauling for Towne I was uninsured  as far as liability goes, all other insurance I was covered.
Most of the time I had at least one Ceva delivery on my truck in addition to the Towne deliveries, but not always.

I chatted with a Ceva Expedite owner operator the other. Nice guy.

I know, it's off subject.

What was he driving? Did it have a sleeper? I have yet to see any Ceva Straights with sleepers, most are in Sprinters or regular cargo van or tractor trailer

He was driving an International 4400 sleeper truck. He runs a dedicated route up and down east coast for Honeywell, I think.

I saw a sleeper straight with sleeper in Memphis as well. Back when they still said EGL, I saw one in Tampa. I think it was a KW, with like a 48-60in sleeper and 24 ft box.

Dakota, what would happen if while hauling that Towne load, and not be under Ceva's authority, you would have an accident. An accident that was your fault, and someone got hurt?Since your not on a Ceva load, you now have no liability insurance.what happens?

That why I was worried and added liability insurance, so now I am covered. I didn't realize before that Ceva picked up the liability part, partialy because I pulled away from their coverage with the settlement deductions and found insurance on my own.
I am not a lawyer and didn't know all the names for all the insurances.
For a straight truck I have like 5 different coverages
Non trucking Liability
Liability
comp/collision
cargo
uninsured motorist
