Short load pays off

Normally, when I go back in service after being home for the weekend,we go in service at home, and usually get a short load to the east coast, that usually turns into another short l.oad or long dead head
This time after going back inservice,we dead headed to Toledo, usually getting much longer loads.
But as you probably guessed, this idea back fired and we ended up with a 300 mile run to Chicago.Yes i could have turned it down, but thats not how I work,so we took the load.Next morning after delivery,we were asked to do a load to the great north west,Oregon to be exact,3700 bucks for 2100 miles. This sure made up fpr the previous short run.NOw the best part, delivered Friday morning, reloaded Friday afternoon to deliver tuesday morning in S Carolina.
This turns out to be just under $8700 for a grand total of 5700 miles, and you want the best part, heaviest load weighed 15000 lbs.
Can this happen everyday,no,but it sure is nice when it happens

Our BEST paying load EVER was a REALLY short load. It went ALMOST 3 miles and paid OVER $2000!! Too bad we can't do that 2 or 3 days a week, week in and week out, eh?
