... Anyone tried this?

Marathon Visa card offers .25 a gallon rebate, (they already beat the truckstop prices by a wide margin.)

Rules are:

Spend $1,000 on your card in a month, get .25 a gallon rebate.

The purchases can be made anywhere, the rebate only applies to the gallons actually purchased at Marathon.

Since so much of the expediting takes place in the Marathon service area, it seems a good plan .. I'm sure gonna give it a try.

No cc charges if paid off each month ...

That sounds like a great deal, especially for vans. The savings and rebates would probably pay for a month of showers.

500 G's a month say is $125...thats alot of showers..:D

If its diesel too and they include Speedway..I am on it...

Both OVM .. no difference.

I computed I would save roughly $150.00 a month in fuel costs ...

And who takes showers anyway! :D (Maybe some other expediter would take mercy and swipe their card!)

Speedway is not a part of the program ... I wish it was!

I have my Super Fleet card for them ...

I used to use it at Pilot, but they stopped giving cah price on Super Fleet cards.

The way I read it, you have to spend $1000 or more per month, then THEN you get the .25 REBATE. It's a "too good to be true" kind of deal to me.

$500-$999...ya get .15 rebate....only thing is..they pay off in Marathon Gift cards....

Right now I get 5% a month rebate but I can use it to pay off some of the bill or take the cash...

I like the one we have..50 bucks off the last bill and since I pay it off every month...NO interest!:)
but it's 3%.

You can use the card for ANY purchase, (like airline tickets), to get the $1,000 mimimum. Then Marathon rebates .25 on your FUEL purchases. The gift certificate can then be used for future fuel purchases.

Hence ... fuel savings .... and no, you don't get more rebates on the purchases made with the certificates.
