Saw something different yesterday

Yesterday I was riding with my wife in our car and I saw a Sprinter with a liftgate on the back. It set up higher in the back than it did in the front. Like maybe it had a 3 inch lift on the back axle. It looked almost like it came straight out then down. It was slid under the back bumper.

Wow, that does sound different. I've seen rail lifts folded against the back of a Sprinter or conventional van. I know you can get small ones for pickup trucks as well. But one that folds or slides under I am trying to imagine how one would use it w/o a pallet jack. Maybe use it for large boxes and such that might be light enough to slide, but too heavy to want to lift off the back bumper?

could this be a wheel chair lift? I saw something similar when I took someone to the VA.

it was a cargo style sprinter. and i belive it was attached to the frame.
