Run own Authority?

I'm sure its always a safe bet to run with the big companies to get your loads but has anyone out there ever ran on their own authority with a straight truck and survived would like to hear your story. i know with a semi its not as hard if your willing to hustle and you know how to manage your truck well...Just wondering thanks!

There ARE lots of storys about folks not only surviving with a straight truck(s), but, prospering on a grand scale. (Do you think any Company in this biz started with a 1000 trucks?) As with anything worthwile in life, ya jes hafta hustle, pay attention to details, and be an excellent time manager.
