Yep I think you are so dead on that it ain’t funny anymore.

I think it is time that all the people out there who are just seeing a slow down need to get out while the getting it good. If you didn’t make more than $3000 last week it is time.

Don’t worry about selling the truck, if you owe anything on it, just sell if for what you owe and get out because very quickly there will be a glut of trucks on the market like there are with vans. I bet you if you owe $4000 on that M2, there may be someone to sell it to its a stretch but some may be interested in it. It maybe a hard sell to that person but you can get $4000. In my position I would even consider taking an FL-70 off of someone’s hands if they owe a $1000 on it but it has to have a reefer unit and need paint.

Like the crash of 1907, a hundred years later we are faced with many road blocks that will not allow the freight rates to go up – everyone and their brother (or sister) becoming a carrier and putting on the road 2, 3 or 400 trucks on the road, eBay getting into the freight game, getting loans for a truck getting easier a lot easier, Mexicans and Canadians taking the freight away to do what ever with it – maybe even delivering it - and companies closing up shop and moving to India, Yep’rs it is a mess out there and you need to get out.
