MAGA won’t vote for him over Trump AT ALL. Some wouldn’t mind him being on the ticket with Trump because on a couple issues he is very similar to his position and because many of the other VP candidates are wrong on issues like funding Ukraine endlessly.

It is not unusual to see third-party and independent candidates poll high like this long before elections. But the closer the voters get to the actual Election Day, the less they tend to support such candidates. If you see a third-party or independent candidate showing strong in the polls near Election Day, like in October, that spells big trouble for the two major parties.
