I need help with this do you have to have a CDL or Chauffeurs license to drive a 10k and under van our cube van. I am looking at all types expediting website and it said CDL License is not required for cargo vans, Sprinter cargo vans, cube vans, all which are under 10,001 # GVW. A simple standard Operators License is sufficient.

I also called and i was told the samething are there other expediting companies that a standard Operators License is all you need

You need a CDL if the GVW of the vehicle is over 26,000 lbs. But it's not that hard to get a CDL. Then you have greater marketing of yourself to carriers that have stricter rules.

If the GVW is over 10,000 lbs you must fill out a daily log book.

If you're planning on running for all typs, then you have your answer. Whichever company you plan on talking to, you'll have to ask. Some require CDLs, some don't.
