Probable short term assignment????

Would like to ask forum members a few questions: Need a summer job as school bus company I drive for is very slow in the summer. Want to team drive with non-smoker. Available from June 10 to August 15. Have CDL B, air and Hazmat, some expedited experience. I expect to run hard, and make money. Don't do drugs, alcohol, porn or lot lizzards, and expect same from team member. Expect to be treated and paid fairly as I have an excellent work ethic. Please, No scam artists, no thieves, liars, or cheats or other low life bottom feeders who rip off honest hard working people. Question 1: Is it likely that a short term assignment would be available? Question 2:What do you think is adequate pay? Question 3: If easy to get along with lead driver and pay is good and miles are there, could this possibly lead to a full time job? Please (# 2) no smart a$$, wise guy put down answers. This is a serious post and I don't need some imbecile trying to build his or her ego at my (and other forum members) expense.

as to your questions ,
i THINK ,that once your ad is up , you will get some calls ,
many of us solo truckers are just trying to wait the storm.
just yesterday a lady trucker here posted that she is looking for a co Female driver.
as to the pay , keep in mind that in most cases , if the money is not going to the same household , well ,there is less to shear ...
as to the millage, looks to me that some teams are doing OK , and some mostly sitting .
once you have a driver in mind , check up teams with about the same carrier / owner / trucks ...
might be a good time to upgrade that class B .

I don't mean to be a smartbutt..but a lot of states are going to be short truck drivers like dump and water trucks and such....the stimulous package has pushed a lot of road projects ahead of schedule...these jobs pay way more then you will make in a summer of expediting.

You expect to run hard, and make money. You expect too much. The days of jumping into expediting for a couple of months for a quick and easy buck are long gone. You may luck into someone who is looking for a temporary driver, but they are few and far between. Best bet is to call recruiters and find out which owners need drivers. As for getting on the classified section, just create a separate login/pass from the Forums specifically for the classifieds.
