Prestige or Bolt?

dtm1957,

Both are good carriers.

As noted in recent posts, Prestige seems to have more "one way" loads.

Take a moment and read through the previous posts. You will find information on both carriers.

As I have said before, go to a truck stop. When you see a Bolt or Prestige driver, introduce yourself and ask if you speak with them for a minute.

In the final analysis, it is a decision that be made by trial and error.

What may work well for one individual, may not be the corret fit for another.

Keep reading. You will some great info here on EO.

i have heard both good and bad regarding prestige the biggest knock i have heard on them is to many one way loads other then that from what i hear they are a very good company to work for as for Bolt i was with them for 3 years and loved every day of it they are a very good co. and if i decide to go back with any co. i would not hesitate to go back to Bolt but right now i enjoy being on my own i guess the only knock i would have with Bolt is at times the freight was a little cheap but they do keep you moving but the thing to remember is they pay percentage so by the end of the year if i averaged every thing i had enough good paying freight to make the cheap null and void and it all average to what they advertised

I am not in this business yet. I have been reading on this board gathering info for dang near a yr now, so I am not in any position to offer advice on any company at all, but i can speak of people in know.

I have known the Sales Manager (Jim N.) at Bolt, long before he got into this business and went to work for Bolt (well over 15 yrs). He is a professional in all meaning of the word. I know he ios working to get more freight to the comapny daily and has expanded the sales force into areas of the country they haven't serviced in the past. If he tells you something, he will not be lying to you.

Again, I am not in any position to advocate for any company, but JIM N. at Bolt is "good people". To me the quality of a company is based on the quslity of the people they employ. you can't get better then Jim N.
