Power plant GPS trick

Many times when making an emergency run to a power plant you get directions like 9 miles west of town or some equally as exact address.and 9 miles west of town can mean 4 or 5 different things you might start out heading west but it's actually north or south of town etc etc

now at night it's usually not a problem because you can see a big power plant 10 miles away.

But if you need to find the exact location this is one of the few times that the EPA is your Friend the EPA loves to collect lots of useless information so much so you could say they are full of it. So if you do a web search for the name of the power plant you want plus EPA you'll get their data sheet on the power plant that will contain the longitude and latitude plug those numbers into your S&T or GPS and boom you now know it's exact location when sitting 1500 miles out
