You are probably thinking of a pony pack. I don't think they are made anymore.

If buying used, parts availability could be an issue.
There are several APU types out there that have different prices, configurations, and applications.

I called the company and the owner answered the phone apparently they transfer calls so they can be available 24/7. You sure don't find that happening often.
Pony Pack will have a booth in Louisville, hope to get the chance to speak with him again.

Rex and Donna Greer, the owners, are super-nice people.
We had a PonyPack on our first Volvo 770 tractor (starting in 1998).
Rex is the hands-on head man in the shop.
Donna runs the front office.
They -- and their workers -- are strongly customer-oriented.
Their employees are very friendly and cooperative.
Yes, Rex and Donna answer their own telephones -- even, as you said, transferring their calls after-hours to their home.
We look forward to seeing them in Derbytown.
