Has anyone ever had the consignee sign the manifest in lieu of a crappy BOL? Did your company have a problem with it?

The Canada customs manifest? Yes I've done that no problem with my company.
Did they give a reason why they wouldn't sign it?

They did sign it. That's what I kept and turned in, and the bossman is saying his customer doesn't accept them. I thought the idea of the POD was the signature, not the intricacies of the paper it's written on.
Sounds like they're being dicks. What better proof than a commercial invoice that also has a customs clearance stamp?
Oh... I thought they refused the BOL and just signed the other.
