Parking problems

The good folks at the Pilot in Dandridge, TN have provided an explanation as to why we get kicked out of some lots. My guess is they may all have the same policy but most know how to use better judgment.

For the most part those types of signs are for people who leave their car and head to the lake for the day with a buddy. Or those living out of their car and remaining for days on end. IN over three years I have only been asked to move from one truck stop front parking area.

It has been brought up before about getting asked to leave and I had never really thought about insurance being an issue.

I have seen those signs at several Pilots...I always walk in and ask to speak to the manager, explained that I am expediter and in every case I have been told exactly what Xiggi posted and have been told that my staying over night for a night or 2 was no problem....and as Xiggi said, I have never been told to keave the front lot at any TS...with the exception of the "J" in Kanas City...the Security guy at 3 am aked me to move back with the bobtails along the fence..I went in and spoke to the manager, got back in the van and went to sleep....But I try not to stay there unless I have to now...its just a small dirty place....

Go up I-435 to I-35 north towards Des Moines to Exit 16, it's about 10 miles from the J, but there is a Walmart with plenty of parking (and shade trees), as well as a veritable cornucopia of restaurants nearby.

I've stayed at that Walmart!! Very nice one...

I a not in the truck to look, but i think that aoung all of those places to eat is a really good italian/pizza place that I try and go to when time permits!! But yea I know that Wal-mart..the trees were nice!!! SHADE!!!!

Ok, this isn't a "parking problem"...but an issue...For those of ou that use portable generators (hondas, honeywells and such) while I will drag mine out at any TS without thinking about it, but rarely do I get it out anywhere else (walmart, target, home depot) For some reason i have the idea that securty might take issue with it..

So, how many of you that use them, use them where I don't???

No problems in any Walmarts so far....and I am a Wally Worm..
