When I joined P2 they never asked for mine. I would think the only reason if they did was to see if it was honorable or not. Wouldn't matter though, after 6 months of a dis-honorable discharge you can have it changed.

Is this what it all comes down to, PCing discharges?

I just found it sorta out of the ordnary, I talked with a Panther driver this AM here at work and he was not ask for 1. I dont mind providing it I was just wondering. The company that I work for takes the same date and gives it to the government to show they hire vets. But the company is a DOD contractor.

I just figured if it was for reporting purposes it should be worth a couple of cents more a mile.......I'm a HO if given the chance.

No. Under law your allowed to file for a change but you must do it yourself and it takes time. After the change is made your issued a new 214. You can keep it your dark secret after that. This is what I told by out processing personal.
