All they are is Penske straight trucks painted white. The yellow insides of the box is one of the many dead giveaways. I was at a Ford plant and one of those rent to own owner operators was there getting unloaded. They would not even go inside that truck with a forklift. What if things go sour with that company and you're going broke and want to change companies but can't take the truck to a different carrier, because it is in the contract? ...I have seen this many times where the driver is making good money for awhile, and than it starts going bad. He leaves the company and the truck because the lease purchase says it has to stay there. So than they re-lease it to another un- suspecting driver and the process starts all over again.
I am not saying all lease purchases are bad, but be very careful and do not do it out of desperation to become an o/ o. Be patient and it will come.
