A fence sitter follows. The "Puppet Master" told him NOT to say anything until the "gods" at the UN spoke. He has NO idea how to handle ANYTHING that is important. He waits, and FOLLOWS. Not a leader. What a joke.

and what would you have him do....go in flag a waving, in the name of God and democracy and kill all the bad guys?

Nope, LEAD. That is what a leader does. You have a goal in mind. You decide on a course of action based on the following:

What we need to do or not do in a given situation to protect the security interests of the United States.

What we need to do or not do in a given situation to protect the economic interests of the United States?

How will our action or non action affect those priorities?

Those questions MUST be answered first. Then ask the following:

How will our action or non action affect our allies security both national and financial?

How will our action or non action affect these stability in the given region?

How will our action or non action affect those living in the region?

Then, when confronted with a problem you CLEARLY and CONCISELY articulate the stance of the United States.

He SHOULD have have a VERY good idea of all of this BEFORE he ran for office. He did not. He SHOULD have learned this in the first month or two. He did not. He FOLLOWS the lead of others. He is NOT a leader.

That is like saying he should have a plan say should Pakistan swing the other way....or if Turkey attacks Greece...or Columbia goes after Brazil....gee whiz....

Isn't that what chiefs of staff are for?

Yep, he is in the hot seat now. He SHOULD have been ready for it. Leaders AVOID a lot of those problems by LEADING. The others will follow a strong leader. He is weak and appears weak. No one looks to him for direction. No one follows him. If he can't handle it, get out. This NOT a job for wimpy, inexperienced little boys or girls. That is what Obama is.

When we bombed Libya it was because they were a threat to the security of the United States. The case was made, clearly defined, and articulated. A plan developed, put into action, completed and that was that.

The action in Libya is a civil war. Does that affect our security? Does that affect our economic security?

I have NO idea what the "hand wringer" thinks. No one does. I don't think HE does. I would never serve under him. He is one of the MAIN reasons so many officers are leaving the military. They will not serve under him.

As you have said, the U.S. is NOT the worlds policeman. What would you have us do?

We don't buy oil from them, they cannot attack us, they have no means to attack us.

Well I did say it....I think just supporting the refugees is enough for now....there is no way to tell IF the rebels are the good guys either....it is a tough call.....as long as it stays within its borders....

every conflict has the potential to hurt us money wise and security with El Queda lurking in the shadows just waiting for an opportunity..

I figure one of the reasons all this is happening is because all the bad guys know that Obuma isn't going to do anything.

In short, how much can I push this dog before he finally snaps at me.

One, how do you support refugees? Are they here? Where are they? We cannot go into Libya to protect them. We have NO money available to pass out to other countries to help them.

I would be willing to bet that he has been advised what El Queda is planning. I would be willing to bet that he was advised that this was coming MONTHS ago, before the mess started. He SHOULD have been ready. He has FAR more information being passed to him than you can imagine and he is just wringing his hands.

From the other thread.

I said

I mean the thing you said "Tough times call for tough leaders." doesn't seem to apply here anyway. I said before with Tunisia, we don't have a lot of involvement with them so let's just stay the h*ll out of it.

Europe on the other hand is being flooded with 'refugees' and among them, there are terrorist they don't want within their borders.

If I was to choose - "left style democracy" or any alternative, I would still stay right on the fence like he seems to be doing.

We will never agree on these policies Greg. Our pasts are too different. No matter HOW he decides to handle things he MUST be CLEAR in his intent and NOT follow the lead of France or the UN. He SHOULD have been ready for this BEFORE he ran, it is clear by his attitude that he was not. It also seems to me that he may be ignoring good counsel in the way that Carter and Clinton did. I have no proof but I would be willing to bet on that one.

There are three threads about the same thing. I can't keep this up.

WHAT POLICIES?

I think it is clear - he has one and it is to stay out of the fight while acting as he would support who ever with the hopes that Gadafi will stay in power.

Then STATE that OUT load and CLEAR. NOT like he said today that we would JOIN in the fight if needed. That ALL options are on the table etc etc etc.
